5 things you you did not really know about NY:

1. You feel like a stranger in the sea of whites, BUT actually, everybody feels like a stranger, they are not locals either.

2. The streets are clean, because the truck and cleaners clean them at 3am every morning.

3. You thought it is more expensive to eat and shop. Not true, the street food and the sales at the big departmental stores, and the street vendors peddling branded leather bags and perfume are ok. No, I did not buy any.

4. $7 day metro ticket and $5 air-train takes you from airport and all over. Walking is free.

5. NY is interesting. Cannot be. How can a concrete jungle be interesting when the people are rude and everyone rushes.
