Flu virus, flu vacinnation

Was down with fever and cough on Friday, and somehow had all symptoms of flu the next day, sunday I was totally knocked out.

Ruth got it from me on Sunday evening, and rested monday, GP said it was viral infection. (cost her $24) Paul sneezed plenty in the morning of monday, and coughed plenty too, but insisted on going to school. Only to come back with high fever, went to see the GP in the afternoon and was given antibiotics, amongst other medicine.(cost $36)

The same evening mum developed a fever, 38.4, wheeled her to the same GP, the other alternative would be the A&E. Given fever, flu, cough medicine and antibiotic (not penicillin as she is allergic to that). (costs$48)

Today I seemed stable, was still weak yesterday, Ruth went to work, Paul temperature slowly decline and by afternoon, was up on his own, can't eat much though.

In the clinic, was reminded that there is such a thing called flu vacinnation, I just cannot believe what good that is, given the many strains created over time.

Cannot imagine how people can cope with costs of good and quick medical care even for simple medical needs in the future.
